In this piece, I initially incorporated 3 images of the COVID-19 virus that has been all over the news. After living with the piece for a while I ended up taking out two of the COVID images because they were holding too much of the attention. In another time, I might not have felt that way about them because the spiky form itself would be considered beautiful before it had such menacing connotations.
