This was a breakthrough piece for me. I really loosened up and expanded my mark making vocabulary on this one. It is one of the joys of painting abstractly - there are no inhibitions to trying things and no constraints to having to make it look a certain way. I can simply respond to my gut and what feels right for each piece.
