Unrequited Reaching: Figurative Sculpture
My figurative sculptures speak to our universal yearning for connection. Some pieces are multiple figures and others are individuals. The key is in the relationships, either between the figures or between the figures and the viewer. I elongate their forms to emphasize their expression. Each communicates different aspects of our desire for connection. Made from cement, they are able to live both indoors and out.
